Tomer Hemed – Brighton

Tomer Hemed – Brighton
Brighton's striker, Tomer Hemed, has recently celebrated his 30th birthday, a number that fits well to his career height points: playing for an International team (beside the Israeli national team), who has just qualified for the Premier League. Hemed's football career began at the Hapoel Kiryat Tivon football team, later in the Hapoel Haifa youth team, and at the age of 13 he played in the youth division of Maccabi Haifa. At the age of 18, Hemed moved to the big boys' court and joined Maccabi Haifa, a team that plays in the Israeli Premier League. After zigzagging between different teams in Israel, he was signed for the first time in his life in a foreign football team - Mallorca, Spain, with whom he played 28 impressive games in the Spanish League. In the end, Mallorca came down to the second division and Hemed moved to Almeria and became a Spanish League Champion. The affair with the Spanish League ended about a year later, when Hemed was signed in the English team Brighton, which played in the English sub-division back then, and the rest is history.
In addition to his appearances in the foreign teams, Hemed continued to play for the Israeli National team. His first appearance was in the Euro 2012 qualifiers, where he cooked the first goal against Latvia. At the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, he has already scored 6 goals and won, with Eden Ben Bassat, the title "top scorer" of the Israeli National team. The latest scandal, in which Tomer Hemed and Ariel Harush accused National team coach Elisha Levy of making erroneous decisions and criticizing his behavior, led to their suspension from the two friendly games against Moldavia and Albania this month (June 2017). The return of the two to the Israeli National team will be considered in the coming days.
With Brighton football team, Hemed plays as a striker, along with his good friend from the good old days in Haifa, when there were only kids - Beram Kayal. The two have been brave friends ever since, regardless of their religion and belief (one is a Jew and the other one a Muslim). The exciting reunion between the two took place in 2015: kayal came from Celtic while Hemed came from the Spanish League, and since then they have been playing together, being the "face" of Brighton. What does the future hold for the Israeli ambassadors? Will they continue to play in Brighton or be tempted to sign with the various suitors? And how will their football season be in the English coastal town? Want to see for yourself? Get your Brighton tickets now, only on Doctorticket!
