| Sevilla Football Club, the capital of the autonomous community of Andalusia in Spain, is gaining a respectable place in the history of Spanish football in general and Europe in particular. On 1958, the new Stadium of the "Reds - Whites" was inaugurated: the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, in which Sevilla actually lost to her rival "Real Betis Sevilla". The stadium is named after former club president, and is the eighth largest stadiums all over Spain, and can accommodate up to 45,000 people. In 1982, the stadium hosted two games in the tournament of the World Cup, and four years later (1986), it hosted the European Champions Cup Final between Barcelona to Bucharest.

On 2016 Sevilla won the European League Cup match against Liverpool, but a few days later, the team lost the Spanish Cup in Barcelona. In early June 2016, Unai Emery (Sevilla's coatch) announced his resignation, after three successful years, during which Sevilla won the European League, and finished on the respectable number 4 at the Champions League. Rumor has it that Emery decided to leave the group following a more tempting offer from Paris Saint-Germain.| He will be replaced, probably, by Smfoali , the Argentine coach of Chile, which led to it winning the Copa America in 2015, the first time in its history.
