This football club from South London was founded in 1905, but only at the end of the sixties (actually in 1969), did it manage to rise to the Premier League – England's most important football league. Despite the feeling of exaltation, the disappointment was soon to follow, and Crystal Palace found itself again in the lower leagues. A decade had passed, bringing more changes, mostly in branding: the team's uniform were changed to red and blue, and the eagle become the official symbol of the team. Whether it was because of the branding or because of the new coach, Terry Venables, within two seasons the team got back on its feet, and to the Premier League. Throughout the years the team had known some difficulties (four times it descended to the lower leagues), but for now (2015), it manages to hold its place in the Premier League.

In the beginning of 2015, in one of the most surprising moves to happen in the Premier League, "the Eagles" had changed their coach. Alan Pardew, former coach of Newcastle, was hired to coach the Eagles after Neil Warnock was fired – making him the first coach ever to be fired from the Premier League. Pardew himself was a player in Crystal Palace from 1987 to 1991, and now, as the team leader, he manages to lead the team to important victories, that can change the team's future.
